It replaces the factory tank, reuses the OE sending unit, includes straps, supports gooseneck and 5th wheel towing, and is transfer-pump ready with an embedded 1/2-inch NPT fitting. The added capacity is useful for towing, fleet work, and long highway routes. Notes: GM trucks cannot have DTE reprogrammed for the larger tank, the fuel gauge may stay on full for the first few gallons, the OE skid plate is not compatible, and high-flow truck-stop nozzles may not shut off automatically.
